Tanzanian President Attends Opening Ceremony of Puge – Tabora Road

On January 8, 2013, a ceremony is held to celebrate the commencement of the construction work of Puge-Tabora road project, which is to be constructed by B13, a subsidiary of POWERCHINA. Kikwete, Tanzanian President, Minister of Tanzanian Construction Ministry, Governor of Tabora Province attended the ceremony.

Kikwete, Tanzanian President, unveiled the foundation stone and planted a memorial tree and cut the ribbon for commencement of the construction work.

The Puge-Tabora Road, with a total length of 56.1km, is located in Tabora Province, Tanzania. The project will upgrade the original earth road with a bi-layer asphalt pavement. The project is financed by Tanzania Government and the Employer is the National Road Bureau of Tanzania, and the construction work will take 26 months.

B13 has undertaken 27 projects in Tanzania since 2005 when the Company entered the country。 These projects are mainly large-size national infrastructures such as water supply system, road upgrading, airport roads and highways. These quality projects have won high praise from all walks of life in Tanzania, and a good enterprise image of POWERCHINA, and they also serve as solid foundations for the further market development in Tanzania.
