POWERCHINA's Indian Project Starts Up

The first generating unit of the Indian project KMPCL 6×600MW (carried out by POWERCHINA’s subsidiary SEPCCO1) began operation at 6.11 am on August 8, 2013.This is a subcritical, coal-fired power plant and the largest joint project between China and India. It is also the biggest single-investment thermal power station. The project is valued $2.7 billion and includes design work of the entire factory area and the auxiliary facilities, and the procurement and delivery of the generating units and other equipment and material. It also covers construction, equipment installation, testing, a trial run, commissioning, and maintenance within the warranty period.
