3D Design and Application for Duxiling 220kV Substation project which was carried out by Jiangxi Electric Power Design Institute was awarded the Innovation in Utility Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure of Be Inspired in London between Oct 28 and Nov 1, 2013.
Jiangxi Electric Power Design Institute constructed smart 3D information models for the substation. The software connected a 3D visual model with 2D drawings and coordinated multiple disciplines on the PW platform. Its information model also standardized the designs. Efficiency increased 30 percent with the help of the software. The innovative software greatly impressed professionals around the world.
