The morning of Dec 11, the M1 Rd in Mauritus, was ready for traffic, with an opening ceremony on the major bridge section of the road. The construction was entirely undertaken by POWERCHINA.
The Sinohydro M1 road is in the Moka district of Mauritus, three kilometers from the capital Port Louis and a vital transportation link to the capital, with a large amount of traffic. The work consisted of four sections, Road Section 1, Road Section 2, a footbridge, and a major bridge. Road section 2 opened in March, 2013; and the steel beam of the major bridge was in place this past August and the concrete deck poured in October.
