Cambodia hydropower station has UN CDM registration

The Kamchay hydropower station in Cambodia, POWERCHINA's first wholly controlled project of its kind overseas got UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) registration from the UNFCCC Executive Board, on Dec 14. It is expected to cut about 300,000 tons of carbon emissions annually and bring economic benefits and is a milestone in green house gas emissions control for Cambodia.

 

The Kamchay hydropower station was also POWERCHINA's first CDM project and was financed and insured by the EXIM Bank of China and SINOSURE.
