POWERCHINA Aid Arrives at Philippine Disaster Area

The first 500 sets of color steel container houses of the construction aid project of Sinohydro, POWERCHINA, for disaster relief in Tacloban arrived in the city on December 21st, 2013, after five days of transport. Tacloban is located in the middle of the Philippines and was hit by Typhoon "Haiyan". The office of Sinohydro also made donations to the local people and delivered 3 loaders to the Red Cross immediately after the disaster took place.

Haiyan, the super typhoon, landed on Eastern Samar Province in the middle of the Philippines on November 8th, 2013. The typhoon, called "the strongest typhoon ever recorded in the history of human beings", killed 3,600 people, affected nearly 10 million people and caused severe damage.
