The Adama II Wind Farm is located in mid-Ethiopia, 95 km from Addis Ababa. With a unit capacity of 1500 KW, and a total capacity of 153 MW, it is currently Africa's second largest wind farm. The Adama I Wind Farm, which is already in service, is China's first wind power project using Chinese technology, standards, management and equipment. The Adama II Wind Farm integrates new wind power generation technology, and establishes new acceptance standards on grid connection.
