Former JGC chairman visits POWERCHINA

On June 7, Wang Bin, vice president of POWERCHINA , met with a team led by Yoshihiro Shigehisa, former chairman of Japanese contractor JGC Group, to discuss further projects.

Wang Bin extended his warmest welcome to the visiting team and introduced the business performance, qualification and credit, positioning, investment, and international business strategy of POWERCHINA with an emphasis laid on the specific operational mode, the layout of international business, and the overseas power industry.

Wang Bin pointed out that POWERCHINA will firmly implement a strategy to prioritize the international market with greater consideration of the global power construction market. He notied that POWERCHINA and JGC Group can take advantage of each company's strengths in the high-end market in both the Middle East and Europe to seek a common development.

Yoshihiro Shigehisa expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of POWERCHINA and showed his appreciation for the company's achievements. He briefly introduced the basic information of JGC Group and noted that JGC Group, as the first Japanese company to engage in business activities in China, pays special attention to the Chinese market and hopes to make greater contributions to the economic development of China.

The two sides also communicated about issues such as international labor services, the brand management of POWERCHINA, and potential fields of cooperative interest. An agreement had been achieved by both sides to maintain their relationship and enhance cooperation.

Koichi Kawana, the president of JGC Group, Keisuke Takeuchi, principal corporate consultant of JGC Group, head of Beijing Office of JGC Group, Ding Zhengguo, assistant to the general manager of POWERCHINA, and relevant heads of Overseas Department attended the meeting.
