Yan Zhiyong, chairman and Party chief of POWERCHINA held in-depth exchanges on cooperation in power, transportation and infrastructure with Sao Tome and Principe Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada in Beijing on April 12.
After extending his welcome, Yan said the comprehensive state-owned enterprise provides a full-range of services from planning & design, engineering & construction, to operation & maintenance and investment & financing. He said POWERCHINA is capable of contributing to Sao Tome and Principe's development.
According to Yan, POWERCHINA entered the Sao Tome and Principe years ago and is familiar with its market and policies.
The diplomatic relations between China and the African nation allow them both to work together to construct infrastructure and push forward development.
Patrice Trovoada spoke highly of POWERCHINA's survey and planning on hydropower and infrastructure construction, hailing it as an influential, experienced and reliable enterprise.
He expressed his willingness to continue long-term cooperation with POWERCHINA and hoped it could continue to explore potential projects for the nation.
The meeting was also attended by Wang Wei, charge d'affaires at the Sao Tome and Principe Embassy in China, as well as POWERCHINA Vice President Wang Bin and Song Dongsheng, general manager of POWERCHINA International Group.
