POWERCHINA and GE sign Strategic Partnership Framework MOU

POWERCHINA and GE signed the Strategic Partnership Framework MOU (memorandum of understanding) and jointly issued a report on the Nigerian power market in the engineering procurement construction (EPC)forum of China for the World 2017 the Belt and Road Forum on Nov 2.

Wang Bin, the vice-general manager of POWERCHINA, and Duan Xiaoying, senior vice president and CEO of GE China, attended the forum and signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Before the signing ceremony, both sides looked back at the work they accomplished in businesses, such as hydroelectricity, wind power, coal, fuel and power grids, over the past two years. Their collaborative efforts benefitted regions around the globe including the Middle East, Asia-Pacific region, Eurasian region and Africa. Both sides look forward to further cooperation in various areas in future global markets.

With POWERCHINA as the world's biggest power construction company and GE as the world's biggest manufacturer of electrical equipment, both sides can fully make use of the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative by strengthening communication and cooperation and drawing on each other's strengths to seek innovation and develop a mutually beneficial EPC international partnership.
