POWERCHINA completes acquisition of German Carbotech

POWERCHINA Water Environment Governance Co. completed the acquisition of Carbotech Gas Systems GmbH on Nov 30, marking Carbotech officially becoming the company's wholly-owned subsidiary in Germany. 

Carbotech is a German engineering design company specializing in industrial gas processing and purification. It has pressure swing adsorption technology (PSA) and membrane technology, while also providing complete equipment sales and operation services.

The company has been engaged in biogas purification and production for more than 30 years. It is a leader in the field of methane and other gas purification treatments in Europe.

The company has mature solutions in biogas purification, process gas production and extraction, and power-driven gas production. It is a leading provider of biogas purification technology and an EPC engineering contractor of gas purification equipment integration in Europe.

Through the acquisition of Carbotech, POWERCHINA Water Environment Governance Co. will acquire leading R&D, process design, equipment supply and integration strengths in biogas purification, process gas production and extraction and power-driven gas production.

In addition, the acquisition will also expand the company's industrial chain.

The successful purchase of Carbotech is in line with the implementation of POWERCHINA's water resources and environmental strategy, which is committed to the strategic planning of the introduction of biomass gas technology.
