Guanping Bridge is part of the Yuxi-Boten railway line, which is the section of the China-Laos railway in China. The Yuxi-Boten railway line is connected to the railway line section of the China-Laos railway in Laos.
With a full length of 233.17 meters, Guanping Bridge is a double-track railway bridge above the Simao-Xiaomengyang Expressway and the G213 national highway. It consists of 25 sections of roads, 20 bridges, six tunnels and 35 culverts.
Since the project broke ground in May 2017, the contractor of the bridge project, POWERCHINA's subsidiary Sinohydro Bureau 14 Co has overcome multiple difficulties including extreme environment and weather conditions, as well as geological risk.
