Completion ceremony for Vietnam PV project held

The completion ceremony for the Dau Tieng 500 megawatt (MW) Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Plant in Tay Ninh, Vietnam was held on Sept 7, which was constructed by POWERCHINA with investment from Thai and Vietnamese developers.

At the ceremony, Thai and Vietnamese representatives expressed their gratitude to POWERCHINA for its efforts in achieving high-quality and efficient goals, praising its professional technical capabilities and professionalism in the field of new energy.

As an atypical water surface PV project, the project is the largest PV power plant in Southeast Asia and is also the world's largest semi-immersed PV project.

It is a landmark project for cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam in the field of new energy, which has been highly valued by the governments of both countries from the very beginning of the project's construction.

During the 11 month constructed period, POWERCHINA completed the work with high quality and efficiency. The project was connected to the grid and began operation in advance on June 18, 2019.

To date, POWERCHINA has built 14 photovoltaic projects in Vietnam with a total installed capacity of 1,500 MW.
