A company spokesman said it has further expanded the company's brand influence in Iraq and even in the Middle East.

The project is located in the urban area of Baghdad, capital of Iraq, on the banks of the Tigris River, about 20 kilometers from Baghdad International Airport.

The project is a 4 × 160MW oil-fired unit. Two of the units are having a major overhaul, while the other two units are undergoing technical renovations.

After the project is completed, power shortages in the urban area of Baghdad will be greatly eased.
