The Kidurong Combine Cycle Power Plant project in Malaysia undertaken by POWERCHINA has been honored yet again.
It won the compliance gold award of the 2019 contractor environmental impact assessment on Aug 19, handed out by Seremban Engineering Berhad (SEB), a preferred engineering services provider in Malaysia.
It is the third consecutive year that the project department has won the highest award in the series.

This not only demonstrates the outstanding ability of Chinese companies in environmental protection management, but also further enhances the reputation of Chinese companies in the local market.
This year's annual evaluation selected one gold award, three silver awards, seven bronze awards and two excellence awards.
Malaysia's SEB is committed to creating green projects. Since 2017, it has conducted environmental management evaluations for all contractors under construction -- in order to encourage them to improve their management of environmental protection during the project construction period.
Since starting operations in 2016, the POWERCHINA project department is dedicated to creating a standardized model project, paying equal attention to environmental and safety management. Third-party environmental consulting companies and environmental specialists have been hired to provide professional guidance.

It successfully solved a series of environmental protection problems, such as the discharge of civil construction wastewater in the rainy season, environmental protection in marine excavation and filling operations, and noise control of debugging blowpipes.
The environmental management was highly appreciated by the owner and joint venture partners and the project environmental management experience had also been promoted by the owner to other projects.
