The deputy prime minister stated that the Belgrade Ring Road project was of great significance to Serbia.

She said its completion would not only help alleviate the increasingly congested traffic situation in Belgrade, but also promote Serbia's further integration into the Central European transportation network.

Mihajlovic said the ring road faced challenges, such as the high proportion of bridges and tunnels in the area.

She said POWERCHINA had demonstrated top technical skills and construction capabilities and the Serbian government was satisfied with the progress of the project.

Mihajlovic urged POWERCHINA to continue its excellent work on the project and said the Serbian government would provide support to jointly ensure its steady advancement.

While checking the latest developments, she enquired about working conditions for Chinese and local employees and praised POWERCHINA's project department and its effective safety protection measures.
