Invested in and constructed by POWERCHINA, the Jiangkou Wind Farm in Chenzhou, Hunan province was successfully connected to the grid on Sept 28.
The Jiangkou Wind Farm has a planned installed capacity of 50 MW. It designed and installed 20 wind turbines of 2.5 MW, as well as built an 110kV booster station. The project is expected to generate 100.79 million kWh of online power generation annually, saving about 32,000 tons of standard coal, as well as reducing about 92,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 10,000 tons of ash and slag, which will make new contributions to local economic development and ecological protection.
In 2020, the company has made detailed plans and taken various measures to ensure the smooth construction of the project. It has comprehensively investigated potential safety hazards and increased the number of inspections to ensure safe construction. It has also implemented a monthly on-site meeting system to ensure the project’s orderly progress, as well as coordinated all personnel to perform their duties in project construction and equipment commissioning.
