The Khulo-Zarzma road reconstruction project is an important route that runs through Georgia's east-west corridor. The funding parties are the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the Georgian government.

The project is the ninth highway contract that POWERCHINA has won since it entered the Georgian market in 2010.

After its completion, it will be of great significance because it will shorten the driving distance between east and west of Georgia, improve the country's transportation efficiency and enhance its economic development.

On July 18, the construction of the second section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti highway project undertaken by POWERCHINA was completed. Meanwhile, on Aug 25, the first section of the Zemoosiauri-Chumateleti highway project built by POWERCHINA opened to traffic.

The successful completion of the projects has set a good example for other Chinese and foreign companies engaged in production and construction in Georgia.

At the signing ceremony, representatives from Georgia praised the industry experience, qualifications and human resources of POWERCHINA, lauding the professionalism shown by employees from China and Georgia during the construction process.

They expressed the belief that POWERCHINA would continue to undertake the Khulo-Zarzma road project with high-quality work and meet its deadlines.
