Engineering News-Record, a globally authoritative academic journal in engineering construction, released its 2022 rankings of "Top 250 Global Contractors" and "Top 250 International Contractors" on Aug 25.
Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHIINA) ranks fifth among the global contractors, same as last year. It ranks sixth among international contractors, up one place from last year. It maintains its status as the world's largest power engineering contractor.
The ENR lists are influential and well-recognized among the global construction industry. The rankings comprehensively reflect the annual development of the international engineering market.
POWERCHINA has ranked first in the "Top 150 Global Design Firms" ENR ranking for three consecutive years, maintaining its leading position as the world's largest design firm. It has also taken the top spot in engineering design for Chinese enterprises for eight consecutive years. In the 2022 Global Fortune 500 ranking, POWERCHINA ranks 100th, up seven places from the previous year.
In 2021, in terms of office performance assessment results of central enterprise leaders announced by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), POWERCHINA was rated as a double-A-level enterprise. It was awarded "Excellent Performance Enterprise" in the 2019-21 term, reflecting SASAC's recognition of the company's business performance.
