Introduction
POWERCHINA began its nuclear power business in 1988. With more than 30 years of relevant experience, it has the qualifications in projects of Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island (CI), and EPC capability. Up to now, 12 units have been completed, and projects with an installed capacity of more than 10,000 MW have been put into operation. Seven units are under construction with a total installed capacity of 8,200 MW.
Projects
1. Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant has two units with a capacity of 900 MW each and was operated in 1994. It is the first large-scale commercial nuclear power plant on the Chinese mainland. POWERCHINA undertook the installation engineering of the CI and Balance of Plant (BOP).
2. Lingao Nuclear Power Plant has two units with a capacity of 990 MW each and the first unit was operated in 2002. POWERCHINA undertook the installation engineering of the CI and BOP.
3. Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant has 6 units and each unit has a capacity of 1 GW. The first unit was operated in 2014, POWERCHINA undertook the installation engineering of the CI and BOP.
4. Lufeng Nuclear Power Plant (under construction) has two units with a capacity of 1,080 MW each. POWERCHINA undertakes the project of the CI and BOP.
5. Rongcheng Nuclear Power Plant (CAP 1400) has two units with a capacity of 1,400 MW each. POWERCHINA undertakes the project of the CI and BOP. The project is under construction now.
