Introduction
POWERCHINA has participated in airport construction since 1981 and received a lot of honors, like winning the CAAC High-quality Project Award, Excellent Overseas Project Award, National Excellent Silver Award, National Municipal Gold Cup, National Top Ten Construction Science and Technology Achievement Award, and so on.
Projects
(1) Beijing Daxing International Airport
POWERCHINA has participated in the construction of the 3,800-meter-long 4F grade concrete runway in Beijing Daxing International Airport. The standardized construction scheme of the mixing station and the construction technology of the steel formwork trolley were highly recognized by CAAC, and the owner promoted these technologies in all aspects during construction.
(2) Kunming Changshui International Airport
Due to excellent performances, POWERCHINA was awarded 9 tenders in Kunming Changshui International Airport Project including the earthwork, ground improvement, airside construction, etc. The project has won the National Quality Engineering Project Gold Award, Luban Award, and Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize.
(3) Pudong International Airport
POWERCHINA has participated in the construction of runway 2/3/4/5, the southern apron expansion, and a large area of soft soil foundation treatment in Pudong International Airport. The airport won National Quality Engineering Project Silver Award and National Municipal Gold Cup Demonstration Project Award.
(4) Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport
POWERCHINA has participated in the construction of the Satellite Hall Apron Project of Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. The civil aviation airport field project, designed with 53 contact stands and 10 remote stands, has the highest single bid amount and the largest non-stop construction area in China.
(5) Hong Kong International Airport
POWERCHINA has participated in the construction of Hong Kong International Airport Contract 3303—Third Runway and Associated Works. The construction scope includes the construction of 3,800-meter 4F grade asphalt concrete runway and the design and construction of a driving tunnel with a length of 1,360 meters. It is also the first project using BIM combined with digital construction technology to improve paving efficiency.
(6) New Doha International Airport in Qatar
POWERCHINA was awarded the tender for the construction of Airfield Paving, Tunnel and Detention Ponds for the New Doha International Airport. This was the world's first dedicated runway for Airbus A380.
(7) Shaybah Airport Runway Upgrade Project in Saudi Arabia
POWERCHINA has participated in the 4C-grade Shaybah Airport Runway Upgrade Project in Saudi Arabia, with 3,048-meter asphalt concrete runways. This project was given 92 points in the project review process, which was the highest score ever given by Saudi Aramco.
(8) Bamako-Senou International Airport Extension and Modernization Project in Mali
POWERCHINA has participated in the terminal construction for Bamako-Senou International Airport with a total floor area of 15,600 square meters.
