Introduction
POWERCHINA is committed to becoming a first-class enterprise in port and dredging works. During past years, it has participated in a number of key projects contributing to national development, such as South-to-North Water Diversion, Yangtze River Economic Belt, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development. It also has been actively developing the overseas market and implementing port and waterway projects in countries like Pakistan, Mauritania, Mali, and Bangladesh.
Projects
(1) Langfang North Canal Tourism Terminal Project
POWERCHINA has participated in the construction of Langfang North Canal Tourism Terminal, including the harbor pond, floating quay, bank protection, slope protection, cruise ship landing ramp, rear land paving, landscape greening, comprehensive service center, and other supporting facilities.
(2) Waterway Maintenance Works in Caofeidian Port Area of Tangshan Port
POWERCHINA has implemented the waterway maintenance works for the Caofeidian Port Area of Tangshan Port. The dredging volume is about 3.9 million cubic meters.
(3) Yantian Dredging and Reclamation Project in Jinjingwan
POWERCHINA has participated in the reclamation engineering for the salt pan in the Jinjingwan area of Pingtan county, Fuzhou city, the capital of Fujian province. The reclamation area is almost 5 million square meters and the reclamation volume is 18.3 million cubic meters.
(4) Tieluwan Breakwater Project in Zhuhai
POWERCHINA has participated in the Tieluwan Breakwater Project in Zhuhai, a special economic zone in Guangdong province, with a total length of 1,730.6 meters.
(5) The Tanit Fishery Port in Mauritania
The Mauritanian Tanit Fishing Port Project was constructed by POWERCHINA in three lots, including an approach bridge, port, breakwater, auxiliary buildings and other facilities to serve the port.
(6) Qasim Power Plant Coal-unloading Jetty and Channel in Pakistan
Qasim Power Plant Coal-unloading Jetty and Channel Project included a special channel with a length of 3,925 meters, a turning basin, a berth, a new 70,000-ton coal unloading jetty and corresponding supporting facilities, a 943-meter seawall, ship unloading machines, conveyors and other auxiliary buildings. The project was executed in EPC and O&M mode.
(7) The New Mineral Port Project in Nouadibou, Mauritania
The New Mineral Port Project included the construction of a piled wharf for 50,000-250,000 tons ore-ship, approach bridge, wharf platform, dock pier, tie pier, auxiliary facilities, etc. The project was granted the Luban Award for Overseas Projects.
(8) Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project - River Training Works in Bangladesh
POWERCHINA has participated in Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project and executed river training works. The project created the highest single contract amount of river training works undertaken by Chinese enterprises in the international market.
