The annual power generation capacity of Gouina Hydropower Station will reach 621 million kWh, and form cascade reservoirs and power stations with the existing hydropower stations, thus generating  a durable, stable and far-reaching regional power grid.

This has the potential to not only alleviate the power shortage in Mali and promote the development of local industry and economy, but also transmit power to Senegal and Mauritania through the regional power grid, alleviating the power shortage of West African residents and boosting their living standards.
