Ivovik Wind Power Farm invested by POWERCHINA won the Most Important Foreign Investor of 2022 Award from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Dec 7, marking the first time a Chinese company has won it.
The award aims to recognize foreign investors that have made outstanding contributions to the social and economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so as to improve the country's business environment.

The 84 MW wind farm is the first of its kind funded and built by a Chinese company in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also the largest renewable energy project currently under construction in the country.
It is the first new energy project to be included on the list of achievements of the Summit of Central and Eastern European Countries & China. In addition, it has been identified as a major national project by the Bosnia and Herzegovina government.

During construction, more than 100 local jobs have been created, and POWERCHINA has fulfilled its social responsibilities through a series of activities, such as organizing a painting competition and new energy power generation technology science lectures, as well as donating sports education supplies to primary and secondary schools.
These have effectively boosted POWERCHINA's reputation among local residents, especially young people.
On completion, the farm is expected to achieve an average annual power generation of 259 million kWh and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 240,000 metric tons per year.
It will also effectively improve the surrounding environment, strengthen local ecological construction and promote energy transformation.
