The Masdar Wind Power Project is located in the Abu Dhabi and Fujairah regions, with a total installed capacity of 117.5 megawatts, including 23 GW155-4.5 MW wind turbine generators and a 14-megawatt small-scale photovoltaic power station.
The project commenced construction in November 2021 and was completed in May 2023.
It is the first wind power project in the UAE and received much attention and support from the UAE government.
The project holds significant importance for verifying the country's availability of wind energy and the important performance indicators of wind energy development.
Additionally, the project represents a practical example of China-UAE cooperation, driving the export of Chinese technology and equipment to the UAE and making a positive contribution to China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry exports.
