The Narok Sewage Treatment Project is located in Narok county in the East African Rift Valley.
The project mainly consists of a sewage treatment plant with a daily processing capacity of 3,750 cubic meters, a pumping station with a flow rate of 293 liters per second, approximately 56 kilometers of sewage pipelines, and 500 sewage house connections and 2,500 water supply house connections.
Construction of the project commenced in April 2019 and it was completed in January 2022.
The project is a part of Kenya's "Vision 2030" development goals and serves as the first operational sewage treatment system in Narok county, holding significant importance in terms of safeguarding the local environment, promoting social development, and ensuring water safety.
