The China-Equatorial Guinea Friendship Hospital (also known as the new Niefang Hospital) project is a landmark project in China's assistance to Equatorial Guinea in recent years. It features a comprehensive medical facility with complete services.
Construction on the project began in November 2020 and it was completed in November 2022.
The hospital occupies an area of 15,000 square meters, with a total built-up area of 5,665 square meters. The main buildings include the emergency and outpatient building, the medical technology building, the inpatient building, the infectious disease building, and the logistics building. Inside the hospital, there are departments for emergency care, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and general medicine, both internal and external, and it has a total of 124 beds.
As the most advanced and well-equipped landmark hospital in the local area, it will provide diverse and high-quality medical services to local residents and those of neighboring provinces and cities, contributing to Equatorial Guinea's government's vision of "health for all."
