The Loc Ninh Photovoltaic Project in Vietnam has a total installed capacity of 550 megawatts and comprises 80 matrix units, 42,058 string sets, 181,236 foundation piles, 1,229,640 solar panels, and a 45-kilometer overhead collection line.
Construction on the project began in June 2020 and was completed in April 2021.
The project provides over 800 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emission by over 800,000 metric tons. This has not only helped protect the local natural ecosystem, but also alleviated local electricity shortage, optimized the local energy structure, helped turn the local area into an industrial region, and accelerated the development of the local industrial chain.
It also contributes to local tax revenue, generating approximately 4 trillion Vietnamese Dong ($16.32 million) per year.
