POWERCHINA, a global leader in clean energy, water resources, and the environmental construction, has announced outstanding results for the 2023 fiscal year.
The company provides services of whole industrial chain integration, including investment financing, planning and design, engineering and contracting, equipment manufacturing, operation and maintenance, offering overall solutions for the customers at home and abroad.
In 2023, POWERCHINA reported newly signed contracts totaling 1.14 trillion yuan ($158.42 billion), a 13.24 percent increase year-on-year. The company achieved a revenue of 608.44 billion yuan, a 6.44 percent increase from the previous year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached 12.99 billion yuan, up by 13.58 percent.

The company also secured new overseas contracts worth 215.17 billion yuan, an 11.87 percent increase year-on-year, and international business revenue of 81.33 billion yuan, an 8.69 percent growth compared to the previous year.
POWERCHINA's position as the world's largest power design and contracting firm remains robust, underscoring its expertise and leadership in global engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) as well as consulting and design services.
New energy and power contracts accounted for 616.77 billion yuan, 53.97 percent of total contracts and a 36.17 percent increase from the previous year. Among these, newly signed contracts for solar power generation amounted to 279.90 billion yuan, a 44.54 percent year-on-year increase. Contracts for pumped storage projects totaled 78.05 billion yuan, a significant growth of 220.61 percent.

The company also signed contracts worth 154.80 billion yuan in water resources and environmental services and 336.03 billion yuan in urban construction and infrastructure.
