Ding Yanzhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, met with President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco of Angola on March 16, while he was on a state visit to China.
Lourenco expressed appreciation for POWERCHINA's active involvement in Angola's infrastructure construction over the years, which has led to the promotion of local economic and social development.
The president noted that as a representative of Chinese enterprises, POWERCHINA has undertaken a large number of landmark projects in Angola, including those in energy, water conservation, agriculture, and urban water supply. The company has earned a good reputation and great influence locally.
He welcomed POWERCHINA to continue participating more in high-quality projects that will benefit the people of Angola. He also stated that the Angolan government will continue to create a favorable environment, supporting the business operations of POWERCHINA.
Ding Yanzhang expressed his gratitude to Lourenco and to the Angolan government for their continuous trust and support to POWERCHINA.
He then briefly summarized the overall development of POWERCHINA and its business operations in Angola. He emphasised that since entering Angola in 2004, the cooperation between the two sides has become broader and deeper.
POWERCHINA will work together with the Angolan government and enterprises to create more local-beneficial projects, furthering friendly cooperation between the two countries.
