The POWERCHINA-built Coca Codo Sinclair Hydropower Station in Ecuador recently won the top China Overseas Project Demonstration Campsite Award organized by the China International Contractors Association.
The member enterprises of the association competed enthusiastically for the awards. Forty-two projects from 30 enterprises such as China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Power Construction Corporation of China and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation were in competition. The jury committee rated the projects for scientific planning, overall architectural performance, humanistic concerns, CI image, functional systems and campsite characteristics, and six campsites in South America, Africa, India and the Middle East stood out.
Coca Codo Sinclair Hydropower Station won the top spot of the award as its clean, tidy and comfortable with complete supporting facilities. Its achievement not only demonstrates the soft power of POWERCHINA, but also sets an example for Chinese enterprises in prioritizing humanistic concerns.
