POWERCHINA representatives said that they would work together to build the photovoltaic power station into a model project of China-Argentina cooperation.

The Argentine government introduced the Clean Energy Act in 2015 to promote the construction of new energy sources. At present, China’s cooperation in the new energy industry has become an important part of their Belt and Road Initiative and "China-Latin America cooperation in production capacity" project.

With this background, POWERCHINA will utilize its mature photovoltaic technology and construction experience to promote the significant progress of Cauchari’s 300MW solar project.

It is the largest photovoltaic power generation project with the highest installed capacity in Argentina and all of South America. The project will provide valuable experience for green energy development in the province of Jujuy and throughout Argentina. It will create jobs for local people and promote local economic development.
