On March 10, John Magufuli, president of Tanzania, attended the ceremony celebrating the completion of the first-phase of construction on the Bwanga highway, built by Sinohydro Corporation Limited, and performed the honor of cutting the ribbon at the ceremony. Government officials from the National Engineering Department and National Highway Bureau attended the event, broadcast live by Tanzania's state television station.

When shaking hands with the representative from Sinohydro Corporation Limited, Magufuli expressed his gratitude, saying "thank you" in Chinese. He spoke highly of the company's ability to overcome obstacles and honor their agreement. He also expressed hope that the company would take on more infrastructure construction projects in the future.

Since it entered Tanzania's market in 1999, Sinohydro Corporation Limited has undertaken more than 40 construction projects, among which they have built a total of 1,400 kilometers of highway. Some of the highways they built, such as the 118 highway, are among the most important highways in Tanzania.

Located in northwest Tanzania, a remote place rich in forest resources, Bwanga highway is 43.6 kilometers long. The highway's construction has brought great convenience in terms of both traffic and transportation of goods. It will hopefully revitalize the local economy and bring tangible benefits to local residents.
