As of May 27, 2018, the annual cumulative power generation capacity of Port Qasim Coal-fired Power Plant in Pakistan exceeded 2.5 billion kWh, achieving 148 days of safe production.
It laid a solid foundation for Qasim Power Generation Co, a subsidiary of POWERCHINA to complete its annual power goals, and also positively contributed to Pakistan's electricity peak during Ramadan.
Since the beginning of this year, the company has conscientiously implemented the spirit of the company's annual work conference and the 2018 power marketing conference. It is actively engaged with the Central Bureau of Power Purchase in Pakistan in carrying out power marketing and doing a sound job in fuel procurement, transportation, unloading and storage to prepare for the long-term stable operation of the power station.
Meanwhile, emergency plans and preventive measures are formulated to deal with the external difficulties and problems of Pakistan’s weak power grid and unstable transmission lines.
In particular, faced with the unfavorable factors of unstable external power grids in Pakistan, the company actively communicated with the Pakistan State Grid Corporation and provides convenient conditions to urge it to clean up the external transmission line insulators to ensure the safe and stable operation of the external transmission line.
Ever since the company started commercial operation on April 25, it has fully utilized the "two-in-one" organization control mode during the operation period, further shortened the management chain and complemented the advantages of the operation and maintenance provider.
It rationally arranged the optimal operation mode of the power station, strengthened the treatment of equipment and construction defects and solved and eliminated all kinds of factors that affect power generation to maximize the equipment defect rate to lay the solid foundation for exceeding the annual mission goals.
