The signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between POWERCHINA and China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) was held in Beijing on Jan 16.
Yao Qiang, deputy general manager of POWERCHINA, and Jiao Fangzheng, deputy general manager of CNPC, attended the signing ceremony.

Representatives of POWERCHINA's equipment and materials department and CNPC's sales branch signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Yao explained POWERCHINA's reforms, the historical development of the group, and its operations in 2018.
He said that POWERCHINA is a large, comprehensive construction company that integrates the entire industrial chain and complete solutions for the fields of global energy and power, water resources and environment, infrastructure and real estate.
The company's power generation capacity (planning, design and construction) and performance rank first in the global industry.
He said that both POWERCHINA and CNPC are among the world's top 500 companies, as both have outstanding core competitiveness in their respective fields and boast some impressive achievements.
The two parties have a strong need for cooperation related to refined oil, asphalt and lubricating oil.
