President Shein said that it is a major livelihood project and a national key project on Zanzibar Island. After completion, the Zanzibar water supply project will greatly alleviate the problem of access to clean water for residents and improve their quality of life.
He hoped that all parties would work together to actively promote the implementation of the project and complete the remaining projects at an early date.

The Zanzibar water supply project is a key project in Tanzania's water system. The main construction covers two high-level elevated tanks, 19.95 kilometer-long main lines, 68.64km-long water supply lines, and other ancillary facilities.
During the implementation, the project department has actively fulfilled its social responsibility and respected local customs, as well as lived and worked harmoniously with local people, which has helped create a good corporate image.
