Myanmar President U Win Myint and his accompanying party inspected the CP101 project, which is part of the upgrading and reconstruction project of the Yangon Circular Railway undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 10 Co, in Yangon, Myanmar on March 30.
The President and his entourage visited the construction site of Insein railway station. They listened to reports regarding the safety, quality, environmental friendliness, and "civilized" construction of the project, giving a high evaluation of the overall construction work.

The President noted that the upgrading of Yangon Circular Railway is the first major railway upgrading project in Myanmar, which has created transportation advantages for the development of tourism and other industries in Myanmar.
He asked the project team to guarantee a safe, high-quality, and civilized construction process, while also doing a high quality job in all aspects of the project's construction.
The President then traveled by train from Insein railway station to Yangon railway station to inspect the construction of the circular railway. The CP101 project is 19.13 kilometers long and contains 18 stations. It started construction in March 2018, and includes track fine-tuning and upgrading, platform engineering renovation, drainage engineering upgrading, railway bridge upgrading, and power distribution engineering.

As the first railway project of a Chinese-funded enterprise in Myanmar, the CP101 project will effectively improve the Yangon Circular Railway and provide safe, accurate, and comfortable transportation capacity. The first construction section of the project was completed on Dec 21, 2018, and entered the official operation stage, laying a solid foundation for the entire line.
