Located in the northern Ukraine city of Zhytomyr, the expansion project is 134 kilometers from Kiev, capital of the country.

The project will expand the original road from two to four lanes in one direction, with a total length of 22.13 km, including 1.05 million cubic meters of earthwork, three interchanges, 10 bridges, and 35 culverts.

The project is Sinohydro Bureau 16 Co's first to enter the global high-end market, playing a key role in establishing a good reputation for the company brand in the Ukrainian market. Since the project started, it has been highly valued by the Ukrainian government.

Known as the E40 European Route by European countries, the M6 Kiev-Chop Highway is an important transportation hub in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as an important part of infrastructure connectivity in the Belt and Road Initiative.
