The handover ceremony for the radio and television facilities renovation project in Togo, undertaken by POWERCHINA, was held in Lome, capital of Togo, on Sept 5.
More than 80 people attended the ceremony, including Chinese Ambassador to Togo Chao Weidong, and the minister of the Togo Ministry of Information, Culture, Sports and Civic Education.
In his speech, Chao said that China and Togo have been long-lasting friends, achieving remarkable results on pragmatic cooperation. China has always been a good friend and partner of Togo, he noted.

The project will help Togo develop its cultural and sports industry, improve infrastructure conditions, as well as promote the deepening of China-Togo cultural exchanges and cooperation, Chao added.
The minister of the Togo Ministry of Information, Culture, Sports and Civic Education expressed gratitude and appreciation for China's long-term concern and assistance to Togo's economic development and improvement of people's livelihoods, as well as its valuable support for Togo's culture and sports industry.
Togo will continue to cooperate with China to promote bilateral friendship and pragmatic cooperation, as well as promote the continuous development of the relations between the two countries, the minister said.

Located at the National Television Station of Togo, the project is a comprehensive studio building integrating studios for music recording and broadcasting.
The completion of the project marks the arrival of the digital age of Togo's radio and television technology. It has important historical significance in the development of radio and television technology in Togo.
