POWERCHINA completes electrical supply for Wuhan hospital

After 15 hours of overnight efforts, the installation of two emergency power supply cabinets for the Wuhan Tazi Lake mobile cabin hospital was completed on March 6 – electricity distribution equipment that was manufactured by Hubei Electric Power Equipment Co, a subsidiary of POWERCHINA.

This is the third time Hubei Electric Power Equipment Co has completed work on a hospital's electricity supply, following installations performed at the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals.

With the decrease in the number of patients infected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia and the increase in the number of discharged patients, the total number of inpatients has decreased. According to the unified arrangements of the government, the first batch of mobile hospitals are gradually being closed.

As a newly built large-scale mobile cabin hospital, Wuhan Tazi Lake hospital will start accepting patients and its electricity consumption is also expected to increase significantly.

Officials said the two emergency electricity supply cabinets supplied by the company will ensure a reliable power supply for the medical equipment, lighting and fresh air systems.

After receiving the hospital's work order at 1 pm on March 4, the company organized teams to complete the design, manufacturing, transportation, installation of the equipment in 15 hours, a brisk timetable that was highly praised by the hospital.

As of March 6, the company had completed the supply of 92 sets of electrical equipment in four batches at Huoshenshan, Leishenshan and Tazi Lake hospitals.
