Gerardo Morales, governor of Jujuy province, said that renewable energy has now reached all parts of Argentina through the transmission lines of the national grid system.
The giant project, the biggest photovoltaic power plant in South America, is the first large-scale solar park in Argentina.
It is located in the Gaocharay area of Jujuy province, where the Andes mountains crosses.
With plentiful amounts of sunshine and pristine air quality, it is one of the most suitable regions for the development of photovoltaic power generation in the world.
