Concrete pouring volume of Dateng Gorge hits record high

Updated: October 12,2020

In September, a total of 82,000 cubic meters of concrete was poured for the main works on the right bank of the Dateng Gorge water conservancy project, setting a single-month record in concrete pouring.

Since the beginning of this year, in order to reduce the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, the project department has adhered to both COVID-19 epidemic prevention and production measures according to the requirements set by the higher-level organization.

The construction progress of the excavation and support project on the right bank of the Dateng Gorge was accelerated, while the efficiency of sand and gravel mining, concrete production, transportation, vibrating, as well as other links was improved. In addition, a one-stop concrete pouring system was established.

Moreover, the process inspection during the warehouse preparation period was strengthened and a pre-acceptance system was formulated, which greatly improved the acceptance rate of the construction, ensuring continuous and efficient concrete pouring for the main works on the right bank.

The right bank construction of the Dateng Gorge Water Conservancy Project is in a critical period of overcoming difficulties. The project department will strengthen organization and management to ensure the smooth completion of the annual plan.
