POWERCHINA recently signed an EPC contract for the second phase of Argentine National Production Natural Gas Pipeline Project with the Argentine Ministry of Energy and Mining.
The natural gas pipeline project consists of laying out trunk pipelines and building multiple compressor stations.
It will connect the Vaca Muerta Basin, which is rich in oil and gas resources in southern Argentina, with the major natural gas consumption areas in the central and northern parts of the country.
It is also the crucial project in Argentina's energy strategy and it is expected to achieve for the nation self-sufficiency in natural gas demand and to export surplus supplies to neighboring countries, so as to promote its economic and social development.
