The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) recently announced the winners of the 2022 FIDIC Future Leaders Award, and Li Wei, chief engineer of POWERCHINA's subsidiary, was one of three winners in the world.
This was also the first time that a Chinese person made it onto the shortlist of the awards.
The FIDIC presents its award certificate to Li Wei.
The FIDIC is the global representative agency of consulting associations, serving more than 1 million professionals and 40,000 companies in more than 100 countries.
As the most authoritative organization for consulting engineers in the world, the awards given by the FIDIC are also known as the “Nobel Prize” of international engineering consulting.
Li Wei has long been engaged in the design, research and technical management of offshore wind power. He has focused on research into offshore wind power technology.

What's more, in recent years, he has presided over a number of important topics – including general projects for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and major scientific research of enterprises – providing strong support for the construction of offshore wind power projects.
