Efforts to build local teams systematically reflect how POWERCHINA has gradually strengthened cross-cultural integration, enhanced communication within and the appeal of corporate culture, and facilitated the development of local markets.
The Dasherkandhi Sewage Treatment Plant in Bangladesh built by POWERCHINA, for example, shows how POWERCHINA uses Chinese technologies, Chinese standards, and Chinese solutions to promote watershed planning and improve water resources and the water environment in Bangladesh.
It provides a reference for Chinese enterprises to improve the effectiveness of localized operations, stimulates new development vitality in local markets, promotes local employment in the country where the project is located, and supports local economic recovery via overseas operations.
POWERCHINA, one of the first central-government-owned enterprises to expand abroad, is now turning its focus to localized development. It will continue to respect local laws, regulations and customs, organize effective cross-cultural integration, serve the infrastructure and energy construction of overseas countries, and build a positive image for China's Central-government-owned enterprises.
