The Loc Ninh 1, 2, 3 Solar Power Plant Project in Vietnam built by POWERCHINA, recently won the Solar Power Project of the Year-Vietnam award at the Asian Power Awards 2022.
The selection of the Asian Power Awards is a prestigious event in the energy industry calendar in Asia. Organized by Asian Energy magazine, it has a history spanning 18 years.
Every year, it selects breakthrough projects and pioneering initiatives in the Asian power industry,as well as outstanding companies, which areadvocating technological innovation, sustainable development and fulfilling social responsibilities.

The Loc Ninh Solar Power Plant Project is by far the largest single solar power park in Southeast Asia, with a total installed capacity of 550 MW.
It is divided into Loc Ninh 1 with 200 MW capacity, Loc Ninh 2 also with 200 MW, Loc Ninh 3 with 150 MW capacity and one 220 kilovolts booster station.
The plant has started commercial operation. During construction, POWERCHINA donated learning, living and entertainment materials to local schools and temples.

In addition, the company trained more than 1,000 operation and maintenance and installation personnel, provided indirect employment for more than 5,000 people, and built more than 30 kilometers of roads for the local area.
So far, POWERCHINA has completed or is building more than 50 new energy projects in Vietnam, with a total installed capacity of 5,540 MW. It has been the power industry general contractor with the largest market share in Vietnam for four consecutive years.
