The contribution made by POWERCHINA to the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia recently won warm praise from the HighSpeed Railway Contractor Consortium.
The consortium was moved to send a letter of commendation to POWERCHINA, in recognition of the quality of its work in the completion of ballastless track for the entire line.
The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is 142.3 kilometers long, of which the ballastless track section is 85.3 km long, accounting for 60 percent of the total length, and 30,177 ballastless track slabs need to be laid.
Work continues briskly at the site of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway.
POWERCHINA undertook the construction of 70.9 km of ballastless track, involving 36 subgrade sections, 32 bridges and five tunnels and a total of 25,720 track slabs.
During the construction, POWERCHINA organized resources, dynamically adjusted the construction plan according to the on-the-ground situation, and increased its construction team.
It also arranged for dedicated personnel to increase coordination with 18 villages in the section and with local government agencies at all levels which ensure that the construction of the non-ballast track was completed on schedule and raised the profile of China's advanced ballastless track technology.
The successful completion of the ballastless track slab for the entire line of the railway marked an extremely important turning point in the project's construction, and has laid a solid foundation for the project's overall completion.
