The event aimed to provide leading suggestions for the development of new energy and pumped storage power in the country. It also promoted the green and low-carbon transformation and the sustainable development of the industry.

Ding Yanzhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, attended the event. He said in his speech that as a global leader in the field of clean and low-carbon energy planning, design and construction, POWERCHINA has always actively served the national energy strategy. It has also held scientific and technological innovation as its primary driving force, and strengthened the construction of an energy technology innovation platform that is guided by national strategic needs.
POWERCHINA will join hands with all parties to cooperate and actively participate in the practice of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, Ding said.
Efforts will be made to promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of the new energy and pumped storage industries, and accelerate the construction of new power systems. POWERCHINA will continue to advance the high-quality development of the new energy and pumped storage industries, the chairman added.
Wang Xiaoliang, deputy director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, stressed in his speech that POWERCHINA should further improve its innovation system and its ability of independent innovation in order to promote high-quality development.
Zhang Chunsheng, a national engineering survey and design master, chief scientist and chief technical expert of POWERCHINA, and Feng Shurong, a national engineering survey and design master and chief technical expert of POWERCHINA, also made themed speeches.
