POWERCHINA received a completion certificate for its Poland Viska flood control project on March 21, which means that the project was finished ahead of time and has entered its warranty period.
The project includes the construction of a new dike, the demolition of the old dike, the renovation of high-voltage towers, and the reconstruction of some provincial roads. All of which were originally scheduled to be completed on May 31, 2023.
This project is expected to greatly improve the area's flood control capacity during the flood season, benefiting local residents.
The project was completed at the end of 2022. On March 16, the owners, engineers, and local operation and maintenance departments gave their final approval of the project.
Among all the difficulties that the project faced since it started, the biggest was how to find qualified dike materials. By bringing in local high-quality subcontractors, the project department solved its material problem, and then later obtained the approval of engineers.
The project's construction period was seriously delayed due to the material problem, so the project department rescheduled the construction period and reset its construction intensity. Working under the premise of ensuring quality and safety, they not only made up for the delayed construction, but also finished all the construction tasks 5 months earlier than the original schedule.
POWERCHINA's high-quality performance was affirmed and recognized by the owners and engineers.
