POWERCHINA furthers cooperation with Schneider Electric of France

Ding Yanzhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, participated in the fifth meeting of the Sino-French entrepreneurs' committee, which was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, on April 6.

At the meeting, Ding signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jean-Pascal Tricoire, chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric of France.

According to the memorandum, POWERCHINA and Schneider Electric will continue to focus on cooperation in the key industries of low-carbon energy, smart transport, and infrastructure. To build a global competitive edge, efforts will also be made to deeply integrate global resources and embrace smart manufacturing.

Meanwhile, by combining the digital advantages of Schneider Electric and the advantages of POWRCHINA's main industries involved in water works, electric power, green aggregates, urban facilities,  digital technologies, the two companies will jointly strengthen their innovation and development to help POWERCHINA upgrade its smart manufacturing and digitization.

POWERCHINA and Schneider Electric inked a strategic cooperation agreement on March 25, 2019, and since then, the two companies have contracted over 30 projects together.

As one of the leading enterprises to serve the Belt and Road Initiative, and one of the earliest Chinese State-owned enterprises to go global, POWERCHINA has cooperated with multiple well-known French enterprises, including Total Energies, EDF, and ENGIE.

These cooperation projects are worth more than $4.9 billion, and cover the four regions of Middle East and North Africa, Central and West Africa, Eurasia, and America.
